2016 is stacked with upcoming events!!

We’ve had a few fun events this year already and it’s only getting better! Texas is going to be a hotspot for riding this summer, we have the X-Games coming to Austin one last time to give people their last fix of overpriced beer and music acts that have nothing at all, ever, to do with riding or skateboarding. (Nicki Minaj ?!?) To be fair there is a lot of kick ass skating and riding and even racing that goes down as well, I would have never ever heard of people like Travis Pastrana or dare I say Dave Mirra  if they hadn’t been given a national, hell, global stage to bust out on. I even got to meet Ken Block in person and so it’s a bummer ESPN can’t take the heat and I know the track can’t take being out of commission for over a month while they set up all the courses etc.

There are several awesome events coming up that will ease the pain for sure, the very same weekend of the X-Games is the Texas BMX Roundup – Texas BMX Roundup flyer    June 4th-5th and it’s being held at Empire BMX!

We’re having a jam for charity at the OG!! The Texas Type-None Jam will be held July 2nd at the world famous Oltorf Garage in Austin Tx, we will have raffles for prizes, a best trick contest, a live DJ who’s a heckuva good rider as well in Ed Jodie and it’s going to be sweet! Raffle prize packs stacked with goodies from the following companies are up for grabs and it’s all for charity!

A few weeks after everyone has gotten warmed up (literally haha) at the OG  we will head to Houston and it will be hosting an AFA contest on July 23! This is huge and promises to be an amazing event, the previous contests that have been held this year on the AFA (American Flatland Association) stops have been rad, this one will be killer!!! Be sure to check out their website for info. on past events and upcoming contests – http://www.afabmx.com/

This year is just getting more epic each week it seems, lots of events this year, lots of riders bringing new tricks and stepping it up, I’m super excited for the jam, the contest, and to see what else this year brings us!!
